Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning, and data mining for business segments. You will support FP&A and coordinate across departments to deliver timely, actionable insights and robust reporting.

Strong collaboration, organizational skills, and technical finance knowledge are essential. You will manage month-end close, review P&Ls, perform accrual analysis, and prepare journal entries while mentoring junior staff and driving cross-location

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance required.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) advanced.
• Workday and Adaptive Insights intermediate.
• Programming/relational database design/query intermediate.
• Microsoft PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including monthly close, P&L review, accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Consolidate, analyze, and communicate financial results; coordinate with Ops, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales; present to senior leadership.
• Lead various projects across locations.
• Provide coaching and delegate work to junior staff.
• Audit operations to ensure proper controls.
