Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning and data mining for designated business segments.

You will support FP&A Finance/Segments and coordinate with Operations, Accounting, IT and Sales to deliver timely, actionable insights and robust reporting. The role requires detail orientation, collaboration and the ability to manage multiple locations, with opportunities to coach junior staff and influence senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Experience with financial close processes and reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and BI tools; capable of independent problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manages financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including monthly close, P&L reviews, accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Consolidate and analyze data; communicate results to Operations, Finance, IT, and Sales; present forecasts to senior leadership.
• Lead cross-functional projects across locations and coach junior staff.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure internal controls are effective.
