Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning, and data mining for assigned business segments. You will support FP&A, coordinate with multiple departments, and deliver timely, actionable insights to leadership.

The role requires detail orientation, collaboration, and strong technical skills in financial reporting and modeling. You will manage close processes, drive improvements, and coach junior staff across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years in accounting/finance or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Workday and Adaptive Insights preferred.
• PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including monthly close activities, P&L review, cost and revenue accrual analysis, revenue reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Consolidate, prepare, and analyze financial data; coordinate with Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Sales; present close results and forecasts to senior leadership.
• Lead various miscellaneous projects across locations.
• Provide coaching and delegation of work to lower level professionals.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure controls are in place and effective.
