Aston Carter seeks a Sr Accountant to lead the finance and accounting functions, driving strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting. You will oversee a team, manage the monthly close, and partner with project managers on budgets and forecasts.

The role requires experience with ERP systems and a CPA/CMA certification. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Gaithersburg, MD with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of finance or accounting leadership experience.
• Experience with accounting, reconciliation, AR, AP, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with BuildOps, Kojo, or comparable systems.
• Strong job costing and Excel pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach finance and accounting staff.
• Lead monthly and annual close processes.
• Develop budgets and forecasts.
