Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Project Accountant to manage financial controls on construction projects from award to closeout. The role focuses on accurate contract-driven billing, cost management, and collaboration with Project Managers across Vista Viewpoint Vista and related systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
At least 2 years of accounting experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Experience with Vista (Trimble Viewpoint Vista) for job cost, billing, and reporting.
Knowledge of construction job costing and AIA billing formats (G702/G703).

Responsibilities

Set up new projects in Vista Job Cost with budgets, cost codes, and phases.
Review and code vendor invoices to correct job, phase and cost code in Vista Accounts Payable.
Monitor costs against budgets and flag variances to Project Managers.
Prepare monthly owner billings using AIA G702/G703 or owner formats via Vista Billing.
Assist with WIP, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition using Vista and Anterra.
