Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations at our Jacksonville location. You will lead, train, and mentor staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage close processes, reporting, and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years accounting experience with 2–4 years in management, and relevant logistics industry exposure. This on-site role at our Jacksonville office offers growth and exposure to audits and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5–7 years progressive accounting experience including 2–4 years in a managerial role.
Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or similar industry preferred.
Familiarity with onboarding processes such as I-9 and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Hire, train, supervise, and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance.
Handle financial reporting including balance sheet, P&L, and month/year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and GAAP, and build internal controls.
Assist in creating and monitoring budgets, analyze spending trends.
Collaborate with outside auditors during corporate audits.
