Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement practice seeks a Finance & Accounting M&A Manager to join PEPI M&A. The role focuses on supporting the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations during deal lifecycle, from due diligence through close and integration with PE clients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage Day-1 readiness, and help design future-state operating models while interacting with c-suite contacts.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in Finance & Accounting within M&A or PE settings.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and purchase accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Day-1 readiness across all F&A sub-functions.
• Coordinate all aspects of finance and accounting integration (Revenue and AR, Expenditures and AP, Month-end close and reporting, Payroll and Treasury, FP&A).
• Own the integration plan and drive a cross-functional team to execute integration.
• Engage with client contacts at the C-suite and board level.
• Analyze target company historical data to identify trends and assist due diligence.
• Design interim and future-state operating model for the Finance function.
