Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager for the PEPI M&A practice, focusing on Finance & Accounting aspects of private equity deals. You will lead cross-functional teams through due diligence, Day-1 readiness, and integration planning, aligning policies, controls, and reporting with client executives and bankers.

The role emphasizes deep GAAP knowledge, accounting diligence, and the ability to drive complex financial integrations within a fast-paced private equity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in finance or accounting operations, with integrations or deal support.
• GAAP knowledge and purchase accounting exposure.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Day-1 readiness across F&A sub-functions.
• Coordinate finance and accounting integration during deals.
• Own the integration plan and lead cross-functional teams.
• Analyze target historical data and support diligence.
• Collaborate with client executives and PE teams to enable execution.
