Job summary

African Community Housing & Development seeks a Finance Associate to manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking. The role also supports the Finance team, grants administration, HR, and organizational operations to ensure accurate records and compliance.

The position collaborates across the organization, maintains audit-ready documentation, and contributes to timely financial reporting and day-to-day financial operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or related administrative support.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools like Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, MIP.

Responsibilities

• Manage the organization’s accounts receivable processes, including preparing invoices, recording payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and maintaining accurate receivable records.
• Track and follow up on outstanding invoices and receivables to support timely collection and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and provide audit-ready AR documentation.
• Support grant and contract administration by organizing documentation and funder reporting requirements.
• Assist with HR and administrative processes and general finance activities.
