Job summary

AMA Insurance, a subsidiary of the American Medical Association, seeks a Sr. Director Financial Operations in Chicago, IL with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in office.

The role leads AMAI accounting, financial operations, audits, tax filings, and carrier relationships while partnering with AMA Corporate Finance. The position reports to the President of AMA Insurance and oversees a multi-disciplinary team to ensure GAAP compliance and financial health, including substantial premium activity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/MBA a plus.
• 15+ years of financial reporting experience.
• 10+ years of managerial experience.
• 10+ years of insurance industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct all AMAI Accounting functions and financial close.
• Lead annual financial audit with Deloitte.
• Manage AMAI Financial Operations and premium processing.
• Oversee Insurance Carrier relationships and audits.
• Provide strategic leadership to AMA Insurance Agency.
