Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Finance Analyst Internship within the Operational Finance department. This internship focuses on accounting and financial support for a project, including cost control, payroll, AP/AR, and compliance.

Interns may travel and relocate to projects nationwide to support month-end close and financial reporting for project management. Zero-to-two years of experience preferred, pursuing a business-related degree, and strong Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to access construction sites in various climates.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance processes.
• Support month end close and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Engage with labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract cost/revenue components.
• Learn payroll and HR workflows and related systems.
• Maintain organized work environment and communicate clearly.
• Contribute to internal controls for purchasing and vendor payments.
• Support intercompany and client billing processes and cash flow.
• Relocate as needed to project sites across the country.
