Job summary

Kiewit invites eligible students to apply for the Finance Analyst Internship. You will participate in project accounting and finance tasks across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts, supporting month-end close and financial reporting for project management.

Relocation nationwide is required; the role offers exposure to enterprise-level finance processes, cost control, and compliance across multiple districts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports month-end close and assists with preparing a financial reporting package for project management.
• Learns payroll and HR process workflow and the systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Assists with cost control, accounts payable/receivable, and internal controls for purchasing workflow.
• Gathers and analyzes cost and revenue components including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
• Reviews cost reports, forecast and budget variances to ensure accurate reporting for management.
• Maintains clear, professional communication and strong teamwork within Operations and Finance.
