Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Internship to support accounting and finance functions on a project basis. The role covers cost control, payroll, payables/receivables, human capital management, and compliance, with opportunity to work across multiple sites in the United States.

The intern will participate in month-end close and help prepare financial reports for project management, with relocation to various sites as needed and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key Excel functions is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports project in accounting and finance related functions.
• Assists with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and compliance.
• Learns systems for payroll, HR and purchasing workflow controls.
• Assists with month-end close and financial reporting package.
• Maintains organized work environment and meets deadlines.
• Communicates clearly with project team and management.
• Supports cost and revenue forecasting and budgeting reviews.
• Ensures accurate billing and timely cash management inputs.
