Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support accounting and finance tasks on a project basis. The internship covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting, with rotation across labor, equipment, materials and subcontracts. Interns may relocate to various project locations across the country.

Interns will participate in month-end close and prepare financial reports for project management, with mentorship and exposure to nationwide construction operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate for this internship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other key Excel functions is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to access all parts of a construction site and work in the United States.

• Comprehends purchasing workflow, invoices, and internal controls.
• Reviews accounts payable workflow and resolves payment or vendor issues.
• Supports intercompany and client billing processes and timely reporting.
• Ensures cost and cost adjustments meet standards and accounting rules.
• Assists with forecast/budget reviews and timely reporting for management.
• Maintains organized work environment and communicates clearly.
• Follows Corporate Compliance and supports EEO and labor laws at project level.
