Job summary

EMCOR Services Betlem is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role reports to the CFO and supports strategic decision‑making with accurate financial information.

You will oversee GL, payroll, AR/AP, close processes, and audits, while mentoring the accounting team and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. A competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; ERP experience (COINS/Oracle/SAP).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in the Construction industry is a plus.
• Experience managing audits (internal/external).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, payables/receivables, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Manage the close process with timely and accurate reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate and lead external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Provide variance analysis and financial insights for business decisions.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team toward continuous improvement.
• Support system implementations and scalability initiatives.
