Dynalectric Company seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Finance Director and CFO in accounting operations for a publicly traded environment, ensuring accurate GAAP reporting and SOX compliance. This role leads day-to-day accounting processes and helps develop a strong accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; 5–7 years progressive accounting experience.
• 3–5 years supervisory or team leadership experience; strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred; public or corporate accounting background.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports.
• Support SOX compliance including control testing and documentation.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closes.
• Support project-based accounting: job cost reviews, WIP, revenue recognition.
• Lead and develop accounting staff through coaching and performance feedback.
