Job summary

Kiewit Power Market is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and finance functions on large-scale projects. This internship focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance, with involvement in month-end close and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship to begin or continue employment.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%).
• Effective communication (oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and continuous improvement mindset.
• Must be able to access all parts of a construction site in varying climates.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Understands payroll and HR process workflow and masters relevant systems.
• Comprehends purchasing workflow, invoices, and internal controls.
• Demonstrates understanding of accounts payable workflow and vendor issues.
• Understands intercompany and client billing workflow and timely reporting.
• Ensures costs and adjustments are reviewed for accuracy per standards.
• Reviews forecast/budget issues with cost reports for proper recognition.
• Displays first-rate customer service and teamwork.
• Maintains organized work environment and communicates clearly.
• Follows Corporate Compliance and EEO/labor law guidelines.
