Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to assist with accounting and finance tasks on a project basis. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance as part of a project team. You’ll contribute to month-end close and financial reporting for management.

The position supports the Finance team in the Power Market district, with opportunities to relocate and travel as needed, and to gain exposure to large-scale projects across the US.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the United States; travel up to 50% may be required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Pivot Tables and V-Lookups are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance.
• Assists with month-end close and prepares a financial reporting package for project management.
• Contributes to forecasting and budgeting for projects ranging from $1M to $4B.
• Learns processes and tools related to cost and revenue components (labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts).
