Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and finance functions. The role covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance, with exposure to labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.

You’ll contribute to month-end close and financial reporting for project management. Base compensation is field-tested and the position requires willingness to relocate, travel up to 50%, and strong Excel/Office skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship to begin or continue employment.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%).

Responsibilities

• Recognize the importance of teamwork and adapt to project needs.
• Foster relationships with the Operations team and learn the work.
• Understand payroll and HR workflow and master hiring, transfer, and payment systems.
• Understand purchasing workflows and maintain internal controls for invoices.
• Troubleshoot payment or vendor issues in accounts payable.
• Support intercompany and client billing workflows and ensure timely documentation.
• Review cost data and ensure accurate reporting for management.
• Identify forecast and budget issues and adjust reports as needed.
• Maintain organized work environment with clear communication and time management.
• Comply with Corporate Compliance and labor laws at project level.
