Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern in Lenexa, KS, to support project accounting and finance tasks. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance as part of a project-as-a-small-business environment.

You will help prepare financial reporting packages for project management and participate in the month-end close process, gaining exposure to diverse cost components and reporting workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
• Willing to travel/relocate if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost control and forecasting.
• Support payroll, A/P and A/R activities.
• Contribute to human capital management processes.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.
