Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and finance tasks. The role emphasizes cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance within large construction projects.

The intern will participate in month-end close, assist with financial reporting, and gain exposure to North American projects, with relocation flexibility and strong mentorship through the Operational Finance department.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel/relocation may be required up to 50%.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of teamwork and assists in other areas as needed.
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and learns project processes.
• Understands payroll and HR process workflows and HR systems.
• Maintains purchasing workflow controls and accounts payable processes.
• Supports cost reporting, budgeting, and forecast reviews for projects.
• Assists with month-end close and prepares financial reporting packages.
• Ensures timely and accurate billing documentation and cash management impacts.
• Supports compliance with corporate policies and safety requirements.
