Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who knows cars and enjoys helping dealers succeed. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease, and explain findings clearly to clients.

This role requires own mobility, valid license, ability to work outdoors, and strong attention to detail. ACV offers health plans, disability and life insurance, a 401(k), and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to work outdoors and travel to dealerships.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections at dealerships and auctions to identify damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit vehicle condition reports with cost estimates.
• Assist sales team with up-selling or cross-selling services.
• Regularly communicate with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and document conditions.
