Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Contract/Utility Forester to patrol energy corridors, assess vegetation, and implement clearance actions per client standards. The role emphasizes field work, safety, and coordination with landowners and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry, natural resources, or equivalent work experience, as required by client contracts.
• Experience in forestry/arboriculture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and common computer applications; ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with GIS/Microsoft Suite and iPhone is advantageous.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying conditions; strong communication skills.
• Practical field experience in utility vegetation management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records/maps, review sites for habitats, maintain documentation.
• Field Patrol Duties: identify vegetation for pruning/removal; apply herbicide per standards.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: use maps to identify boundaries; obtain permissions.
• Coordination & Safety: follow safety protocols; report hazards and coordinate with teams.
• Additional Responsibilities: support storm responses; perform other duties as needed.
