Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to perform field patrols, vegetation assessment, and clearance planning along energy corridors. You will classify vegetation, apply pruning or removal actions, and collaborate with clients to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes independent work outdoors, safety, and ongoing training with industry certifications. A company vehicle and benefits are provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and basic GIS tools.
• Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain documentation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot, identifying vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work per field environment and tree condition, including herbicide use.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per Client directives and ISA techniques.
