Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation, and prescribe clearance actions in line with Client standards. You will engage with property owners and agencies, document work, and support safe practices in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

The role requires forestry-related education or experience, GIS and MS Office skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in varied weather and terrain.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience with GIS software, Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.
• Able to work alone outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors and identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work and determine clearance actions using ISA pruning techniques and ANSI standards.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per Client directives.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with Client specifications.
• Coordinate non-routine work with stakeholders and contractors.
• Participate in storm and emergency response as needed.
