Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to join our outdoor team in a field-based role. You will patrol energy corridors, assess vegetation needs, and support ISA pruning standards while maintaining safety and client-aligned practices.

The position emphasizes independent field work, driving requirements, and collaboration with landowners and agencies to ensure compliant, sustainable vegetation management.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry or related discipline.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, or tree-related green industry.
• Knowledge of tree identification.
• Proficiency with GIS and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management and field crew leadership desired.
• Able to work independently outdoors in varying conditions; strong communication.
• Experience with GIS software/Microsoft Suite and iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Patrol energy corridors; identify vegetation management needs per client standards.
• Classify work and apply herbicide as required.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Coordinate with landowners and agencies; obtain permissions.
• Audit contractor work for compliance and safety.
• Participate in storm and emergency response.
