ArborMetrics seeks a Consulting Utility Forester to join our field team. If you enjoy outdoors, working independently, and rising to challenges, this role offers meaningful vegetation management with a focus on safety and customer value.

You will perform patrols along energy corridors, assess tree risk, apply pruning, coordinate with landowners, and help ensure compliance with ISA pruning techniques and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in forestry or related field.
• Experience in forestry/arboriculture preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsabilités

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain documentation.
• Review sites for endangered species and habitats.
• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot and identify vegetation for pruning or removal per standards.
• Classify work per field conditions, including herbicide use.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per ISA pruning techniques and ANSI standards.
• Identify property boundaries with maps; communicate plans to landowners and agencies.
• Provide professional customer service and foster community relations.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with specifications.
• Participate in storm and emergency response as needed.
