Job summary

RMS Energy Co, LLC seeks a Field Service Technician to support transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service across Florida. You’ll install, maintain, and repair transformers from various OEMs at power plants, substations, and industrial sites, in a safety‑first team environment.

The role emphasizes hands‑on mechanical work, testing, and reporting project opportunities while growing within a fast‑paced company focused on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Mechanically inclined and hands-on
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
• Clear and professional communication with ability to follow instructions
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectives

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
• Re‑gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O‑rings when needed
• Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
• Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule
• Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights
• Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads
