Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures on state highways and local roadways. You will help redirect traffic, protect workers, and operate traffic control devices across projects.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 1-3 years of traffic control experience, and the ability to travel statewide with some overnight stays. Training and safety compliance are emphasized throughout the position.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check including MVR.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA TCT intermediate training is required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate traffic control equipment.
• Willingness to travel statewide with overnight stays and occasional nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down lane closures on roads and highways.
• Redirect traffic for workers or survey crews and monitor the work zone.
• Transport materials and equipment to job sites with company trucks.
• Install and maintain traffic safety devices, signs, cones, and arrow boards.
• Follow safety rules and Company policies; perform shop maintenance as needed.
