Job summary

S&ME, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Engineering Technician for outdoor field work and lab testing on concrete, soils, and asphalt. The role supports our Paducah, KY project and involves travel with per diem to job sites, and hands-on mentoring and training.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and a willingness to work varied schedules on active construction sites. Comprehensive benefits and ESOP offered by the firm.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred for advanced levels.
Active industry certifications in concrete testing and inspections are strongly preferred.
Willingness to travel and work on outdoor construction sites; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Perform field and laboratory testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
Collect and prepare samples for analysis and reporting.
Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for engineers.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure safety and specifications.
