Job summary

Jani-King of New York | Melville, NY is seeking a Territory Development Associate. This full-time, field-based sales role focuses on generating new business for the Melville region, building your own territory through in-person outreach, cold calls, and networking, and setting up qualified appointments for the sales team to close.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to meet activity-based goals and performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, approachable style.
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Interest in sales and business development; social media/marketing familiarity a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance for daily travel.

Responsibilities

• High-volume prospecting to book meetings using scripts and training.
• Engage decision-makers to assess fit.
• Territory management across Melville and Long Island.
• Attend local events to generate leads.
• Schedule appointments and hand off with clean notes.
• Build lasting relationships with follow-up.
• Lead follow-up to keep the pipeline alive.
• Track results and performance metrics.
