Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Customer Service Technician in Tryon, North Carolina to install and repair residential and small business communications services, including telephone, internet, and video.

You will train with tools and test equipment, recommend products to meet customer needs, and operate safely in both inside and outside environments while reporting to the Manager of Local Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to distinguish colors in color-coded cables.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Willingness to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
• Successful completion of required safety training.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair residential and business communications services including telephone, internet, and video.
• Train and work with tools and test equipment to support multiple technologies and network designs.
• Recommend products and services that meet customers’ needs.
• Work in both buried and aerial plant, requiring climbing and ladder use.
• Safely operate and maintain the company service vehicle and follow safety standards.
