Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Telecom Installer to perform installations and maintenance of telecommunication systems for residential and business customers. The role covers physical installation of equipment, wiring, and connections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.

The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently on a daily schedule.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in telecommunications installation or a related trade.
Familiarity with low-voltage wiring and cable installation techniques.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule effectively.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools common in the installation trade.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Install and connect telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, and set-top boxes.
Run and terminate copper and fiber optic cables according to technical specifications.
Test installed equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues on-site.
Educate customers on the use of installed equipment and services.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly handled.
