Job summary

Ritter Communications is seeking an Installer I to install and repair voice, video, and high-speed data services for residential and small/medium business customers using copper, coax, and fiber. This field role emphasizes safety, service quality, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities include installing services, locating faults, taking readings, and traveling to customer sites. A high school diploma and 1 year telecom installation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related technical training preferred.
• One year of experience in installation/repair of telecom equipment and services over copper or HFC networks; both systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs Ritter services including coax, copper, and fiber delivery; identifies correct cable pair.
• Installs proper grounding for drop, inside wiring, and station protectors.
• Locates trouble in service installations; repairs or replaces faults.
• Checks loops and records readings; localizes line trouble and changes drops as needed.
• Assists in installation and maintenance of data equipment, modems, and four-wire circuits.
• Coordinates with Dispatch, Outside Plant Maintenance, and Construction to meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Travels to customer sites and Ritter locations as required.
