Job summary

Ritter Communications in Arkansas is seeking an Installer I to perform installation and repair of voice, video, and high-speed data services for residential and small/medium business customers using copper, coax, and fiber. This field role involves service quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, one year of telecom installation experience, and the ability to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related technical training preferred.
• One year of experience in installation and repair of telecommunication equipment over copper or HFC networks; experience with both systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs Ritter services including coax, copper, and fiber; identifies correct cable pair in pedestals or terminal blocks.
• Locates and repairs faults; performs necessary wiring and grounding work.
• Coordinates with Dispatch and other departments to update billing and plant records.
• Assists in FTTH and Security installations; splices fiber to FTTH installations.
• Travels to customer sites and other Ritter locations; climbs poles or uses bucket truck when required.
• Maintains safety practices per OSHA and company rules.
