Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Construction Technician-Line Worker in Oklahoma to install, repair and maintain poles, cables and conduits, including aerial and buried fiber and copper cabling. Travel up to 50% and occasional weekends, holidays, standby and overtime are required; this is a safety sensitive position.

You will operate bucket trucks and other construction equipment, splice copper and fiber, read blueprints and staking sheets, follow DOT and RUS standards, and contribute to safe, quality network

Qualifications

• 1 year of outside plant construction experience or trade school certification.
• Pole climbing certification and OSHA 10.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate various construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles.
• Install aerial and underground cables and test equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks and other construction equipment.
• Travel up to 50% of the year and work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Read blueprints, staking sheets, and adhere to safety/DOT/RUS standards.
