Job summary

PVT is seeking a Construction Specialist I at its Corporate Office to perform construction, replacement, removal and repair of cable and wire facilities across our service areas. The role requires climbing poles, operating heavy equipment, installing or repairing buried and aerial cables, maintaining right-of-way, and adhering to safety rules while delivering dependable service to subscribers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year in construction/telecom.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoe, trencher).
• Ability to read staking sheets and interpret diagrams.
• Valid NM driver’s license or ability to obtain one; clean driving record.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair buried and aerial cables and fiber optics.
• Perform pole climbing and cable placement with safety.
• Maintain right-of-way and restore surfaces after work.
• Operate and maintain tools; submit reports and timekeeping.
• On-call after hours and weekends as needed.
