Job summary

Uniti is seeking an experienced line worker to install, repair, and maintain poles, cables, and conduits for aerial and underground telecom networks. You will operate bucket trucks, climb poles, and work in trenches or manholes while following safety procedures and DOT rules.

Travel up to 50% is required, with overtime and on-call rotations. The role demands physical effort, accurate paperwork, and the ability to read engineering specs and maps.

Qualifications

• Ability to use construction equipment like digger derricks and bucket trucks.
• Pole climbing certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT pre-hire.
• Travel up to 50%.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles and cables; use test equipment.
• Install aerial cables and inspect/record transmission characteristics to locate faults.
• Set up service for customers, testing and adjusting equipment.
• Access areas to string lines or install boxes using bucket trucks or climbing.
• Read and follow design engineers' instructions; maintain safety procedures.
• Prepare engineering field notes and participate in engineering processes.
