Job summary

T-Mobile is seeking a motivated Field Technician to support Engineering & Operations across Western Pennsylvania to Northern West Virginia. You will handle technical support, project coordination, and operational improvements, covering sites in the Pittsburgh market and surrounding areas.

The role requires expertise in radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services, with 5G NR and base station know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
• 2-4 years - Working experience in Field Operations and maintenance (Required)
• 2-4 years - Wireless telecommunications or related experience (Required)
• Experience with radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, and 5G NR operations (Required)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and network performance optimization (Required)
• Ability to manage smaller projects and provide timely updates (Required)
• Strong communication and documentation skills (Required)
• Willingness to travel within the market and flexible hours (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to resolve network performance issues and contribute to outage resolution efforts
• Manage smaller projects or project segments, delivering accurate status and progress updates
• Identify and recommend process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities
• Assist in developing job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation with senior technicians
• Complete required training to maintain current knowledge of systems, products, and standards
• Flexibility with day and night shifts and travel within the market as assigned
