Job summary

Level 10, LLC in Newark/NYC is seeking a Field Technician to install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain technology infrastructure and POS systems at customer sites nationwide.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 100%), independent work, and the ability to contribute to large deployments, low-voltage installs, and field service initiatives.

You will install cabling, network gear, equipment, and interface with project teams, customers, and support groups to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field service, low voltage installations, POS systems, networking, or technology deployments.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems.
• Strong networking fundamentals and endpoint device knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and written/verbal communication.
• Ability to travel up to 100% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support POS systems, networking equipment, peripherals, and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Install and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, data jacks, patch panels, surface mount boxes, faceplates, and associated hardware.
• Build and organize telecommunications closets, including racks, patch panels, cable management systems, grounding systems, and cross-connects.
• Install and support fiber optic and copper cabling solutions.
• Perform equipment replacements, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct site surveys and assess installation requirements before project implementation.
• Attend GC led safety meetings as required by job site.
• Communicate project status, installation challenges, site issues, and scope variances to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Escalate complex technical issues while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers.
• When not travelling, assist in supporting technical project tasks, procedural documentation updates, and service calls
