Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 3 years of field experience in construction materials testing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil compaction, concrete slump, air content, temperature, and cylinder sampling.
• Conduct density testing using nuclear gauges or sand cone methods.
• Observe and document field activities per project specs and standards (ASTM, AASHTO).
• Collect samples for laboratory testing and deliver to lab with proper chain-of-custody.
• Prepare clear daily field reports and submit documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate field findings with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained according to QC standards.
• Comply with safety regulations on-site and in the lab.
