Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE in substation environments.
• Participate in safety training, meetings, and job briefings; identify hazards and contribute to mitigation.
• Support and promote a strong safety culture through hazard reporting and lessons learned.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical components.
• Execute functional checks and assist with commissioning activities.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair work per requirements.
• Work with engineers and senior technicians to finish field activities efficiently and safely.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to standards.
