Job summary

Astreya Partners, LLC is seeking a Field Technician II to support data centers and Points of Presence, coordinating with network teams and local vendors for installation, repair, and maintenance.

The role requires deep knowledge of physical layer rack and stack configurations, travel, and the ability to work with LEC and other telecom technicians, building landlords, electricians, and non-technical end users.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent with 2–5 years' related experience.
• Experience with data center/POP infrastructure and cabling.
• Knowledge of DWDM, routers, IP switches, and optical/digital infra.
• Ability to work with LEC and telecom technicians and vendors.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality standards in data centers and POPs.
• Perform installation, repair, maintenance, and testing.
• Assist with card adds, software upgrades, testing.
• Recommend process improvements for assets and efficiency.
• Provide site survey support for OSP/ISP projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure MOPs compliance.
• Meet with LEC technicians to schedule work.
• Perform site surveys for network builds or decommissions.
• Support access coordination and equipment staging.
