Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Field Technician III to support data centers and POPs nationwide, coordinating with network teams and local vendors for installation, repair and maintenance. This role requires deep knowledge of rack and stack configurations, hands-on hardware deployment, and travel to client sites.

You will work independently and mentor less experienced staff while maintaining high telecom standards. Candidates should have extensive experience with DWDM, IP routers, fiber/copper cabling,

Qualifications

• AA degree or two-year college with 5+ years' related experience.
• Extensive experience with data center and POP infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of OSP/ISP cabling, power, environmental controls.
• Experience installing and maintaining telecom equipment (DWDM, routers, switches).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards in all data center locations and POPs.
• Perform physical installation, repair, maintenance and testing with detail.
• Perform card adds, software upgrades and testing.
• Recommend process improvements to boost network quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with LECs and technicians for timely installs.
• Manage local vendors to ensure MOPs compliance and cleanliness.
