Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Maintain basic certifications and one advanced certification applicable to the work as per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• OSHA 10 may be required for field work.
• Driver's license is required if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• General knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards.
• Basic understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations.
• Proficiency with tablets, phones, and laptops.
• Developing math and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and follow directions.
• Ability to work with supervisors, peers, and clients.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and comply with laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Executes routine construction materials testing activities with minimal supervision.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares and submits accurate daily field reports documenting site conditions and test results.
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and basic documentation tasks.
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing supplies.
• Assists with more complex testing activities under supervision.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
