Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, and materials testing. You will perform on‑site inspections, collect samples, and conduct materials testing to ensure regulatory and project standards are met.

This role offers hands‑on training and growth in a dynamic outdoor setting. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and capable of working independently while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; construction/geotech exposure is a plus.
• 0–3 years in field-based outdoor roles preferred and safety-focused.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with MS Office and field data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories for testing.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration and safety compliance.
• Communicate test results and site conditions with dispatch and supervisors.
• Travel regularly to various job sites and adapt to changing schedules.
