UES seeks a motivated Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing and inspections on construction and infrastructure projects. You will perform on-site inspections, collect samples, and coordinate with laboratories to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Outdoor field work experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical documents and procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% as project demands require.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Properly collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results for project managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, field supervisors, contractors, and project managers about status and issues.
