Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspections. You will conduct on-site inspections, perform materials testing, and collect environmental samples to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction, engineering, geology, or related field is a plus.
0–3 years of field-based outdoor or physically demanding work experience preferred; related industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specs and regulatory requirements.
Collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment according to company and manufacturer guidelines.
Prepare detailed reports, logs, and presentations with test results for project managers and stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, field supervisors, contractors, and project managers to provide real-time updates.
