Job summary

UES is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing Field Technician I to join our field team supporting engineering, environmental services and materials testing projects. You will perform on-site inspections, sampling, and testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.

This role requires frequent travel to job sites, a safety‑conscious mindset, and the ability to work outdoors and with field crews to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• 0–3 years field outdoor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Certification such as ACI Level 1 or ability to obtain soon.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and PPE.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office and FDC software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate to verify specs.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to labs.
• Prepare detailed test reports and logs for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment per guidelines.
• Communicate updates with dispatch and project teams.
• Adhere to timelines and safety protocols.
