Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, and materials testing projects. You will perform on-site inspections, collect samples, and conduct field and laboratory testing to verify compliance with project specifications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work outdoors, with frequent site travel and opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training a plus.
• 0-3 years of field-based outdoor experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation.
• Maintain testing equipment per guidelines.
• Communicate test results and site conditions to project managers.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and PPE protocols.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle as required.
• Support travel to job sites up to 70% of the time.
• Assist with ongoing training and certifications as needed.
